The fan blade is driven by belt connecting to the motor, this design is meant for easier maintenance in the future such as replacing motor, belt or even fan blade that basically can be carried out by most technicians. Beside that, it also comes with mechanically driven Auto-shut back-facing Louvre grille that open/close according to the on/off status of the exhaust fan motor.
